I think there should be a NHF about changing your Desktop theme. This is a newbie thing that would sure solve my problem :)

It would be a good idea. There are quite a few window/desktop managers out there but the NHF could cover at least the most common ones like GNOME, KDE, Blackbox, Window Maker etc.
There should also be NHF about changing window manager! It's a simple thing once you've discovered what the .xinitrc file is for but discovering it seems to be one of the hardest things... :)
I am going to be called a dick for this i'm sure but here goes...
Why don't you write one then?

I must agree with ep0k. If you think there's a need for an NHF, and you know enough to write it, then write it. If you don't know enough, track down someone who does and ask them to write it, or learn enough to write one.

I was only suggesting. Problems: I don't have enough time to write NHF so I'm suggesting that someone who has the needed time and knowledge could think of writing one. Second problem: I don't use KDE at all, not 1 or 2, so I really don't know anything about them. Same applies to the newer versions of GNOME. And I won't use them before I get a better computer because running them on my old rig doesn't make much sense. :(
Maybe this could be a project where many people can contribute? One tells how to change a KDE theme, other tells the same about GNOME etc.?
