preview first..

someone may have mentioned this, but i didn't see it.. When you go to post a reply or a new topic, there should be a preview button, before the submit button.. NOt a big deal you see it after you post, but i hate having to look at it, then edit it, and see the [edited by joe blow 13:23] everytime..
Maybe this should go in the rant section..

I always felt the opposite way (for things like /.'s board). It's like having to submit things twice. For long posts, this is okay. But for really short posts it's really annoying. And I don't mind editing my really long posts anyway. The occasional little error never killed anyone.

I agree that a preview would be very handy for long posts but not for those short ones. What about if there were two buttons at the bottom. One for "Preview" and one for "Submit". That way you can preview a long post and just go ahead and submit a short post. Solves both problems if you ask me.
