emulate 3 buttons in x4.0

how do i?

i used dexconf to configure X under debian. everything is great except.... no emulation for the third mouse button! do i have to edit the XF86Config-4 file by hand or what.. ? i'd show you what mine has but i can't copy n paste without the third button! doh.

You need to edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config file. In the InputDevice section where it describes your mouse, add the lines

Option "Emulate3Buttons"
Option "Emulate3Timeout" "50"

and it should work. Heck, those lines might already be there, waiting to be uncommented.
