Hello,
I have SB Live! Platinum with that LiveDrive and have 4.1 set-up , well , that LiveDrive doesn't seem to work at all (I only use to connect headphones to it, and this doesn't work) ... and in my 4.1 setup rear speakers don't work :( ... any solution to it?
thanks
I dont know that LiveDrive is even supported under Linux, but the Live! series cards definitely are, and they do run with 4 speaker output. What have you done thus far to get the card working?

There may be a rear speaker volume control.
If I understand what live drive is correctly, looking over the driver revision notes it doesn't appear to be supported.

I've never had my rear speakers do anything with my SB Live! I would be very interested to know if that is at all possible.
Sure, my rear speakers are workin just fine. I run the alsa drivers (http://www.alsa-project.org) on my system, but I'm quite certain the standard emu10k1 driver also gives you rear output...you might have a look at the opensource.creative.com (http://opensource.creative.com) website for more details on their driver.
