Hello,
I was wondering if there is a relatively simple language for Linux that will allow me to program a GUI based app that can read and write to a Microsoft SQL7 Database(it doesn't have to be like VB... I'm not afraid of code). The program would be a copy of a Job Timer program I wrote in VB. Basically this is the only thing standing in the way of me running Linux on my workstation. Changing the DB format(to MySQL, etc...) is not an option and I'd rather not use a web based solution(ASP,PHP,etc...) for this.
Any ideas would be appreciated,
