I never did get that cyclinder boundary error to go away so i just bought a new hard disk to seperate the 2 os's

however im not sure as to how i should set up my partitions to be able to boot smootly

i would really like some suggestions
here are the details

2 30gb hard drives 2 os's (linx/win2k)

im hopng to use lilo Thanx In advance :)

Mr Shifty, I realize you are new here. There are all kinds of resources to answer your questions. One is if you look at the top of this page there will be a link to NHF's. These are Newbieized Help Files. There are a couple that discribe how to do just what you want to do. Also if you type Partitioning Scheme into a browser you will get all kinds of resources. Also if you use the search function of this BBS you will also find that many people have asked and had this question answered.

I hope I do not sound rude but I will bet that there are others here that would have been more rude about this. People here love to help others but usually only if they have shown that they can help themselves.
