I tried 2.4, but then my ncurses lib broke on me (not sure if it was the new kernel or something else). I think it was something else tho' because I had to reinstall almost everything because it still didn't work for me after I downgraded to the current stable. I did like it. It didn't seem very "unstable." BTW, is it IPSEC that replaces ipchains or something else?

Linux, the only one with the Penguin.

I tried tests 10, 11, and 12 each for a short time. I've never used any of them extensively because the driver for one of my Ethernet cards is only for 2.2 kernels (so I'm using 2.2.18pre21 right now). They seemed fine. The setup is a bit different in terms of configuring it and how modules are set up, but it's all pretty good, IMO.

And it's iptables that replaces ipchains, but you can still use an ipchains module for full backwards compatibility (there's an ipfwadm modules too).
