Harvey 01-14-2001, 10:49 PM hah, funny I was just looking at that same software package myself. I ended up using 'rdate' check on freshmeat for it, and you can run a command like rdate -s time.nist.gov to sync your clocks to like the governments atomic clocks or some junk like that. it worked for me, my clocks are right now... ------------------ Help me I'm Harvey! Dirk 01-14-2001, 10:56 PM I just used " root# ntpdate time.nist.gov " and I got the time alright, but no change to my system time. I need the HOWTO tell my system to accept the offering. Thanks posterboy 01-15-2001, 07:27 AM I have a newbie sheet on XNTP here: www.raymondjones.net/ntpguide.html (http://www.raymondjones.net/ntpguide.html) Note that this installs a running daemon, and does not use cron to get it going.
