I want to learn GTK+ so I searched at amazon and found these but which book is best?

Beginning GTK+/GNOME - Linux GUI Programming ~ Peter Wright (Paperback - 30 April, 2000)

Developing Linux Applications with GTK+ and GDK ~ Eric Harlow (Textbook Binding - February 1999)

GTK+/Gnome Application Development ~ Havoc Pennington (Textbook Binding - August 1999)

Linux GNOME/GTK+ Programming Bible ~ Arthur Griffith (Paperback - 31 July, 2000)

GTK+ Programming in C ~ Syd Logan (Paperback - April 2000)

I think the first and last ones sound best, has anyone read them?

I bought the Peter Wright book - it's really pretty good. It starts with the basic glib stuff, and works its way up through GNOME. Admittedly, I haven't TRIED much of the book's exercises, since I really prefer C++ to C, but IMO the book is pretty good. Can't say anything about the others...sorry.

I have the Griffith book. It's all right...perhaps a little long-winded. It has a bunch of examples, and a CD with the source code on it.

Its all right...I'm sure there are some that are better...but if nothing else, it provides much of the necessary information you need.
