Any type of book, although I am refering, right now, to programming books.
You need to get your azz to www.bestbookbuys.com (http://www.bestbookbuys.com)
They don't sell books, they have databases of all the places that sell books, and the best prices. They'll give you a list (from a search parameter) of books in order of lowest price.
You'll be glad you did.

half.com can also be really good for that too, though sometimes it's hard to find a book (for instance, search for "programming perl" not "programming perl 3rd" to find the programming perl 3rd edition (best price right now is about 38 including shipping).

One of the sites that bestbookbuys uses is half.com.. and they're not the lowest price, either. used, there is one for $32.78, and brand new the cheapest is $34.66 through bookpool.com. The site is awesome.. they also have specials with lots of different sites, where, if you enter a certain code, or buy a certain number of books, they give free shipping, 10% off, etc..
Very qool site.
mrBen:
I don't think there is a uk version. Can you not order from one of the book sites? I don't know much about the differences from ordering for the us and the uk, so forgive my ignorance! (^=
