hello, i would like to install debian because it doesn't require a cd. i have connected to the debian ftp and gone to
/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/current
but i am confused as to what i need to download. i have figured out as much as the directorys are named relateing to the size of the floppy you are going to put the images on, can someone clear up what is required to get debian installed?

i would like to perform a boot floppy install i think... :( only because "mounting fs on a partition" sounds a little to l337 for me... just thought i would add this so that i could get a better explanation of what i need...

In
/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/current/images-1.44
you need

rescue.bin
root.bin
driver-1.bin
driver-2.bin
drive-3.bin
driver-4.bin

You don't need anything else if you’re going to install from ftp.

To create the diskettes you need rawrite2.exe you can find it under /debian/dists/potato/main/disks-i386/current/dosutils/
