Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : KDE2 and jpeg wallpaper
Hello
KDE2 doesent seem to want to let me use jpegs for wallerpaper images. It thinks PNG's are fine just not jpegs. Any ideas why?

Did you install KDE2 yourself or did it come with your distro?Maybe it was configured without jpeg support?More info would be welcome.

Hmm... it's SUPPOSED to take JPEGs.
But if not... you can use GIMP to quickly convert a JPEG into a PNG. With older versions you may have to switch the color mode from RGB to Indexed before it'll let you save as a PNG, but the newer version seems to do it automatically.
(Hey, is anybody else angry that the new GIMP startup screen looks like a demented Scooby Doo on crack?)

I compiled KDE2 myself, and I had to download and install jpeg packages. First time I dident (download and install jpeg) and netscape couldent show jpegs, now netscape can show jpegs, just KDE wont show them as wallpaper.
