Modem Detection Script

Hi,

is there anyone who knows in what way I can realize a script, which determines my modem?
I think it is possible to look on bootup, which modem is on which port, propably with AT Commands.

Well, it won't tell you what's on a port, but if you had a script that called setserial on ttyS0 through ttyS3, it would tell you which serial ports were valid, at least...
