rsh and rcp problem

I am having a problem running rsh to two Red Hat 6.2 machines. I can rsh
from a sun box to either of the Linux machines with no problems but I can't
rsh to each other.

I have setup a .rhosts file on both machines too.

I am stumped!!

Anyone have any suggestions?

Check the hosts, hosts.allow and hosts.deny methinks.

I had modified them to nothing in the hosts.deny and ALL:ALL in hosts.allow

I had to reload one of the machines because I could not get the NIC to come back up (or even recognized by the system) after a reboot and now everything works OK??

WEIRD!!

So I guess this one is chaulked up to speratic NIC???
