Xfree86 upgrade, slack 7.1

Hi.
I´ve tried a couple of times to upgrade to Xfree86 4.1. But it doesnt work. Well, it seem to me that it installs correctly, but i cant start x. How do I do, and what files do I need to edit after the upgrade process? (I used Xinstall.sh to upgrade with btw..).

Well, first you will have to run X setup again.

Use xf86config or XF86Setup. The /etc/XF86Config -files are not 100% compatible. I myself set up 4.02, but that was from a .tgz -file - was a breeze *smile*.
