this may sound like a stupid question (at least oneof you will probably say "no question is stupid") but, i'm fairly new to linux, and i was wondering if there was aneasy way to change your wallpaper... inwindows, you can right click an image in your browser and set it, in linux, is there a similar way?
if not, then what is the easiest way to do this? i'm using windowmaker

Check out the program xsetroot. It will change wallpapers on all windowmanagers out there.
If you have downloaded a theme for WindowMaker use the setstyle program to change the theme.

Which window manager are you using? If it's KDE2 you can set the wallpaper by right click on the screen then select back ground manager from the pop-up menu. Also with KDE2 you can set the background image to auto change at a predtermined interval. I have mine set to change every 15 minutes from a selection of 103 images. onlty uses about a meg or so of RAM but i notice no system degradation!

I use "wmsetbg -e xxx.jpg" in blackbox.
You can insert it in the theme file or run directly from the command line.
