apparently if you're using XFree86 4.0.2 or maybe even 4.0.1(and also 3.3.6?) you can use the XF86Setup, or xf86setup to setup your GeForce, I'm not too sure that 3.3.6 has support for the GeForce, but I'm almost positive 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 do have support. Possibly read the docs on www.xfree86.org (http://www.xfree86.org)

That's just my 2 cents, I hope this helps you out a bit

Anyhow, I haven't had a chance to test them yet but, you should be able to use all the HOWTOs with XFree86 4.0.1 in place of the older version.

my mdk7.2 detected and installed X for my Geforce2 gts.. it runs great.

Yes, M7.2 will detect a GTS and maybe an Ultra, but will only set it up for 2D work. That is where the HOWTO comes in. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
