I have set up SCSI emulation for both of my ATAPI CD-rom drives. hdc is a DVD player and hdd is a CDRW (I only need emulation for the CDRW though, so I can burn stuff http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif).
At first I though that /dev/scd0 would be /dev/hdc and /dev/scd1 would be /dev/hdd. That works good, I can mount scd0, I can eject it and so on. But if I study the messages the kernel outputs when booting up, I see the devices sr0 and sr1 mentioned. Now these two devices _also_ work (I can mount /dev/sr1 and so on). But which one should I use? srX or scdX? I'm confused, please help me http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif
