Well, I finally got Slack installed on my ATA66 drive (i had a couple of bad floppies). Anyway, I used the ata66.i as my kernel, and that is what I use in linux right now. Well, I patched my kernel source for udma66 support, and compiled it. When I try to boot it though, it just freezes after it displays the RTC. Plus I have a USB mouse, and there doesn't seem to be a driver built in. I tried the NHF for this, but when I try the patch I just get a bunch of garbage on the screen.
I don't know what to do now. These are the only troubles I have had with Slack, so I took a break and tried Corel, and then Mandrake on a different partition. Corel wouldn't install, and neither let me use my mouse. I hate this!!
What can I do?
