Nic driver in debian

Hey all, anyone know the driver module for an smc8416 isa card for the debian install? My buddy is trying to do an ftp install and can't get the card working.

i think that on is a tulip, my smc cards are, not sure if they are smc8416

Yeap. Tulip is the one. Or you can check on Debian's NIC driver database when you install after base installation.

Yeah, none of em are working. Neither the new or old tulip driver. Nor any of the smc drivers. Any ideas?
