it seems that i can't run GnomeICU from BlackBox... because i don't have a shortcut set yet, i tried to runit from xterm, and all it said was 'permission denied' is this because of xterm, blackbox, or what?
also, i was running icu from
/root/gnome/gnomeicu
is that maybe helping ?

please help, as i want to have icu werking in BB as soon as possible

Try chmod 777 /root/gnome/gnomeicu
or putting the gnomeicu in a directory where you do have execute permissions and so forth, eg. /usr/bin/ or /usr/local/bin
