First hello everybody!!

OK My version of Redhat (7) apparently didn't coe with support for my RealTek card. It's available but the kernel wasn't compiled with it. I have downloaded from my Microsoft box, a file called rt18139.c I'm not sure what to do now. I watch the start up text and the ETH0 failes to startup. The directions that I printed are a bit archaic and all I woud like to do is get my network card working! Everything else loaded just fine.

Thanks in advance for helping the Linux Newbie!!

There's a NHF on the very card here http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/network/nicinstall.html

Always a good idea to have a look at all the NHF's and FAQ's at LNO.
