I just installed Drake 7.2 w/KDE 2.0 on my computer at work. To my surprise, though not a necessary application, i could not find the kde thememanager. I tried to download it, but i got lot's of dependency problems even after installing the kde 1.94 (2.0) libraries and development packages. How can i get the thememangar for kde 2 or install themes without it.

Control Panel - LookNFeel -> Style ???

Is that good enough?

I never messed with themes so not sure if that is what you were trying to do.

Have you tried the KDE2 utils package?

Q: How many existentialists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: Two. One to screw it in and one to observe how the lightbulb itself symbolizes a single incandescent beacon of subjective reality in a netherworld of endless absurdity reaching out toward a maudlin cosmos of nothingness.

The theme mananger does not come with KDE2 - pre that 7.2 mandrake comes with. Kind of sucks. AND DO NOT ATTEMPT TO UPGRADE PACKAGES OF KDE TO DEVEL ON THE UPDATE UTILITY! So basically wait for mandrake to release a new version of KDE rpm's to upgrade to

Actualy, the version of KDE you get realy depends on which version of mandrake you get http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif

I got my mandrake (just the CDs) from linuxcentral and it has KDE 2.0 (no pre)

I also have drake 7.2 with the final kde2, for some reason KDE have gone the same way as Blackbox and E and gone for styles instead of being able to use a "theme".

But i think you can use the legacy theme importer in kde2 if you want to use older kde themes.
