As you can see, I have some nice looking wallpaper:

I don't want any icons on my desktop. I go to
/home/me/Desktop and type rm -rf * and it nukes the icons. But the Trash, the CD and autostart icons regenerate when I log out of X and restart. I assume I have to change a path somewhere.
