i have a quantium 19.1 gig hard drive and i am about to install mandrake 7.2
how should i go about setting up my partitions? In my setup, i will be going with a dual booting of mandrake/windows 2000 and would like to have 1 swap partition, 1 mandrake OS partition, 1 win 2000 partition and one shared data partition.
is this posible, or should i do it another way? what file system should i use for the shared data drive if it isactually posible?
thx in advance.

Use vfat for the share disk... the easiest.

I dunno about nt2000 and how picky it is, but I think it needs to be on the first part of the drive... so that comes first, next would be a /boot partition for linux, then / and whatever else you wanna partition for linux, then the end of it should be a shared of fat32, windows doesn't see anything other than that and ntfs, but linux sees it all...

hope this helps

Q: How many existentialists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: Two. One to screw it in and one to observe how the lightbulb itself symbolizes a single incandescent beacon of subjective reality in a netherworld of endless absurdity reaching out toward a maudlin cosmos of nothingness.
