Did you try typing pine or mutt? You can also cat /var/spool/mail/yourusername and it should show...it does for me at least.

Where are you telling fetchmail to put it?

For instance, a couple of lines from my .fetchmailrc file are:
poll pop.mail.yahoo.com protocol pop3
username knuteh password YEAH!RIGHT! is knute here;
What this is telling it to do is to poll pop.mail.yahoo.com with the pop3 protocol....
It then says that my username there is knuteh and then it sends my password info when it is requested (and I didn't post my password just in case you were curious. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif)...
The last part of the line is what I was asking you about. the is knute, tells fetchmail that I am knute on this machine... That way it can seperated and deliver more than one persons email...

If you have no is <username> at the end, it could be going to root or whatever username that you happen to be using, or even /dev/null (it gets deleted).....

try the is whoever and then you can tell it who you want certain mail to go to... http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

I just got fetchmail working, it works great. Here's my problem....I am using pine to read the mail, and when I send mail, it is taking my username from my computer here, and adding it to my ISP's domain, creating the wrong address that the information is coming from. (its not as bad as it could be, the wrong address it is coming from ,is mine as well)

Where is the setting that I have to adjust so that the mail is coming from the correct address?
