I have Mandrake 7.0, on the installation disk there is a installation for Linux4Win and i tried to install it but some reason it tells me that i might have a problem with my RAM chips. Does anyone have any idea what that means or how to fix it. It just loops over and over with no known way to stop it. I have a dual boot system with Mandrake and it works fine that way, i just thought id play with the other. Any help would be great

Don't bother...Mandrake had MUCHO problems with Lnx4Win till the new 7.2 release.
I never did get 7.1 to install, but 7.2 went as smooth as a baby's bottom.
Get y'self a copy of the 7.2 and go from there.

If you have mandrake already installed you really don't need linux4win. If you are running drake on the same hard drive as windows linux4win will often choke. I don't know if it is the a conflict between the two installations or what. Linux4win takes a major performance hit because it's running under windows so I only recommend it for people who want try linux out and get their feet wet, so to speak. Remember, if windoze crashes so does linux4win. Stick with the real thing, it's so much better.
