hi, does any one knows what means 62.4.16.187 - - [11/Nov/2000:14:06:02 +0100] "GET / HTTP/1.0" 200 345 ? In particular the 200 345 ?! I read this in my apache access log

Looks like someone accessed a webserver running on your machine. The 200 is a status report thing, as is (probably) the other #. The 63. number series is the address that the person accessed you from.

Is this an attack or someone trying to do some malicious things ?

No, probably not. It may be your isp checking to see if you are hosting a server (some don't allow it in their AUP), or something like that.

One scan or connect attempt does not a hack make.

Maybe you should look into getting something like gShield - good security, quick and easy.
