I've just completed the first install of Red Hat 6.0. Evreything seemed to install ok. And I got the notice at the end of installation that it was finnished. Ok, now on boot it goes through all these checks with a greem "ok" after each one the problem is when it get to " starting sendmail " it just sits there and goes no further in booting. What to do now ? I'm brand new to this linux and Red Hat.

When it happens again....just let it sit. It will boot. At the end of the install a menu will come up with services you would to auto start on boot. You should have deselected sendmail. I can't get technical on why sendmail does this. It happened to me too.

i think you get that chance with custum installs. if you don't see it during install just type "setup" when you get a prompt as root.
