Ok, I've done a bunch of reading on the new Xfree86 release and I've seen notes about a rendering protocol that will allow anti-aliased fonts. The ONLY thing I sigh about when booting up my Linux machine is the fonts in X/Gnome.
Is 4.0.2 my godsent Christmas present? I hear that certain libraries need to be updated to use the new rendering protocol, but after this change, will I have pretty fonts (like in that other operating system whose only strength is pretty fonts)? Will the fonts be as pretty?
And if so, does anyone want to come to my house for a party?
