new video card

hey guys , i have mandrake 7.0 installed and running fine. I bought a new video card, when i install it and start up linux i just need to run Xconfigurator? right ?

anyone else have a better way?

Actually, when I installed my card, I'm pretty sure it was detected and configured right away - I don't really remember-

If it wasn't, the program I would've used is xf86config, but I think you can use either one.
