Ok, here's the issue. There are 3 computers involved here:
1) A Solaris machine far, far away. I have an account on it, but I do not have physical access and certainly not root access.
2) A Windows 2000 machine across the hall. I have administrator access on this machine if I need it. It does not belong to me, though, so I cannot put Linux on it!
3) A Linux machine that I am currently typing on. I own this computer, so I can do whatever. This machine is set up to share the internet connection with the Windows machine, with the Windows machine as the gateway. This means that they have the same IP address.
Here's what I would like to do:
I would like to ssh into the Solaris machine from the Linux machine and export the X display to the Linux machine. I can ssh in fine, but I cannot export the display. This is because it tries to export the display to the Windows machine, as it is the actual owner of the IP address.
How can I do this?
