usb keyboard backspace key

ok, i got my usb keyboard to work right our of the box for caldera 2.4 but my problem now is that the backspace key doesnt work.
is there anyway to turn this on? or do i have to use a differnt keyboard mapping? its a 108 keyboard with all the dumb windows hotkeys and stuff.
any suggestions would help

This is a common KDE quirk unless it is something specific to your keyboard.

Either have a look at the FAQ's at www.kde.org (http://www.kde.org) or I believe the same documentation is included in the KDE help installed on your system.
