I would like to get certified in Linux. I know ablout the RHCE but I'm not at that level yet. So, what are some other Linux networking certifcations????????????????

when i have learned enough about linux, i will take this test

it is still in the delvelopment stage, but by the time i learn enough linux to pass, i know it will be out :rolleyes:

SAIR (Linuxcertification.com) and LPI are the big players right now. They were the first, they're the biggest, they're the most active, and one of them will probably emerge as the de-facto "Linux certification to have" after the others have died off or faded into relative obscurity. So look into those two first, because they're the least likely to turn out to be fads.

Also, Brainbench offers a Linux certification that you can get for free, on-line (It's open-book, even... or open-manpage, if you prefer), although naturally you have to consent to having your personal info sold to every marketing firm on the planet as well as pay to have the certification renewed. There's no such thing as a free lunch, but it might be fun to do.

There's a book called "Get Linux Certified and Get Ahead" which examines ALL the options. Take a look at it if you're serious. You can get it on Amazon or wherever. It's not a very GOOD book, but it's comprehensive.
