I've downloaded the files for making a slackware start-up disk. I use rawrite and put on the net.i image. I start my comp with it. After going through a setup screen, it attempts to load ramdisk. It then says "Error 0x02" I hit enter again and the same thing happens. I go back to my other comp and re image the disk with another net.i from another mirror. This time the ramdisk starts loading and the periods follow after it. After about 30 secconds the same error comes up, does anyone have any idea how I can fix this and start installing slackware? Thnx in advance!

I get the same error message when I tried to install Slack my old Laptop. You have to try different floppies. You might have a fault disk.

if you want to do a NFS install then you need these disks
1)bare.i in the /bootdsks1.44 folder
2)color.gz in the /rootdsks folder
3)network.dsk in the /rootdsks folder for aditional drivers.

I was able to get things running using a different disk. For the NFS server, can I just use one of the FTP mirrors listed at www.slackware.com (http://www.slackware.com) ?
