I know that this should be obvious but when setting up a subnet mask on a network do you really have to have a different subnet for each machine like 255.255.255.0 for one and 255.255.255.1 for the next and so on? on my network I have 3 machines all using the same subnet mask (255.255.255.0) and they all work with only minor problems, i thought that the subnet was to split up a network to increase the number of machines that could get on a certain ip block, like<br> 10.0.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 should be different from 10.0.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 or am i crazy
