I can't get my DLink 220 NIC to work with Mandrake 7.2 or RedHat 7.0 but it works with Windows. What should I do?
Thanks in advance

What should I do? Thanks in advance Toby W bdg1983 04-08-2001, 03:15 PM Have you checked to see if the Dlink 220 is supported in either distro? And as always, first turn off 'PnP OS' in the BIOS. Usually helps the detection of PCI cards. If that fails to work, have you tried Dlink for Linux drivers? Hatecrime69 04-08-2001, 03:28 PM Try turning off pnp through it's setup software. you may need to install the card as a generic ne2000 card in windows after this though The_Tobb 04-09-2001, 09:20 AM The DLink Nic is and is an ISA card and no the card isn't supported in either distros. Oh Well Lorithar 04-09-2001, 02:46 PM *WRONG* I have had the dlink 220 series running fine in THREE servers as logger ports ... module is ne2000 (NOT ne2kpci) ... turn off PNP aware os in the bios and try again. bdg1983 04-09-2001, 05:00 PM ISA? Use the dos configuration utility on the driver diskette or downloadable to turn off PnP and change the IRQ and I/O if necessary. justlinux.com
