Hi, i am running linux-mandrake 8.0 right now, how can I install windows 98? I am trying to boot from the CD but it doesn't work. Some people told me to go to www.bootdisk.com (http://www.bootdisk.com) and make a boot disk, but the file is called something like "boot98se.exe". What can I do?

If you want to double boot win/lin, you want to isntall windows before linux, because windows being the large, monolithic pos that it is will try to take over your system and destroy all other operating systems currently on it.
If you want to install windows over top of linux and get rid of linux, then what you want to do is get out a dos boot disk that you always keep handy, cd to your CDROM drive, and then execute setup.exe (when the windows install CD is in the drive).
Then windows will install, and you will forever be very far away from a decent operating system...

If you have the hardware to support it, Vmware is a great way to get multiple OS's to run at the same time. You have to have at least a 266 w/128 megs of ram, but it allows you to run windows w/in a virtual machine on top of Linux. I use it all of the time. You can download a free trial at www.vmware.com (http://www.vmware.com)
