Win2k and Linux dua boot. Help please.

I have two Hdrives now that run under NTSF. I bought another small HD and installed LINUX Mandrake v8. How can I make my PC to have dual boot? I tried putting the HD with linux as a slave, and change OS through PArtition Magic but it didnt work. I am clueless.
Oh and one more thing. When i disconect my Master HD and get into Linux my mouse will not repsond. I have an optical Logitech mouse. On the setup screen during instalation I did the testing thing and it was fine. Is there a way I can fix this?

im going to assume that you have lilo stored on the mbr(master boot record) at hda.

when in linux do the following:

1. Edit the config file

mc -e /etc/lilo.conf


2. Add your other OS's

other=/dev/hdXY
label=Win2k
table=/dev/hdX

where:
X = hardrive a,b etc
Y = partition on that drive

Does your mouse work with the master hd plugged in? If so, then I suggest you leave it as is and get the dualboot working without having to unplug the master.

If you have partition magic( i know it is in 6.0) it should also coem with boot magic which makes dualbooting easy, all you ahve to do is install and it should set itself up no problems. Another option is to use lilo.
