I'm running on a LAN with DHCP with Gnome.
Here's my output from /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

After each reboot I get some strange message about this file and suggests me to write the correct localhost and domain. I do so, but next time I reboot there's still the same thing.

And BTW it's the same way with my soundcard, but that's another issue.

Do I have to change any profile or so?

Please, help.
Thanks a lot!

Regards,
Thommes

mmm
maybe it is asking you to change it to something like pc1.domain.com worth a try

Yes, it actually asks me to do that, but next time I reboot it's gone again. I wonder if I can put it in some init-file, or so.
Or should I take a look at log-files? Which are they? :)

after you alter the hosts file, restart the network via /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart for RH.

After that check /var/log/messages for errors.
