accessing internet through network

ok i finally got my netgear nic to work. the main prob was that they sent a bad driver with the nic. but they had an update at their site that worked great... anyways

ok i have set it up and i know the card is working. i can ping another machine on my network, which is just a home one that is hooked up to a cable modem. i cant get into netscape or lynx, cause it cant find the server. im running redhat 7.0
