One of the most annoying parts of moving to linux (and trying to rely on it 100%) has been not having a consistant method of copy/paste throughout the application.
I'm one of those people that's got ctrl+c (copy) and ctrl+v (paste) and ctrl+x (cut) tattood on my brain from having used windows for so long.
Does the window manager handle this functionality? I think I need to adjust the key bindings but I wonder if that's going to come across in other applications?
In case I'm right, I'll look around in Blackbox and see what I can find out. Just interested in hearing some comments...

Thanks,

I'm using Red Hat 6.0 with KDE 1.1

All I do is hi-lite the text I want to copy with the left mouse button as you do in Windows.

Then go to where you want to paste and click the third mouse button (your wheel or a combo of left and right buttons).

That should do it.

Also, I think the Windows keyboard shortcuts work in many Linux programs.

Lastly, there is a program called klipper in KDE that holds your clipboard history that I find very useful.

Hope that that helps some!
