I love Linux and I have been using Drake for a while, I will have to say contrary to all the bad words about it, its a really great distro when you learn a few tricks. Its just pretty crappy right after install. But I want to give a new distro a try for many reasons and have decided to give Debian a try first since it seems to have the most supporters and there is a program I want to try that seems to run best in Debian, sooo I successfully installed it a few weeks ago but had no Internet access and was not sure what to do next since all my sources of help come through Internet... My provider is Road Runner cable which needs no logon software, the NIC card they gave is a Realtek which I hear is very compatible with most distros. So assuming I'm at a CLI prompt, what would be some of the steps to get it using the cable modem? Thanks for the help!
