security question

are there anythings i can do to make sure my remote connection from outside to my comp safe? router? software? more firewall? any suggesion. usin mostly ssh.

If you are connecting from the same ip address all the time, then you can set up your firewall to only let SSH connections from that ipaddress.... or ip range etc....

my bad. only ssh. thats the only thing i use for remote. how can make sure to make my netowkr and machine more secure?
