Did you try wavelan.com. They have the downloads for the card firmware and drivers for linux.

also, let us know how it goes. I have the same card in a WIN2K box, that I would like to change over to a linux box.

I don't think they come out any software with linux yet.....i saw an AP's software for linux....., but what i want is the software for the wavelan card........

I think that all you need is the software for the card. you can tell it what encryption code to use and the same stuff as the windows card software. I don't think they have the software that lets you monitor your connection and all that jazz, but theoreticly it should work without it.

Some links at the bottom should get you started. I use Mandrake 7.2 with pcmcia_cs 3.1.24 with a Lucent Orinoco silver card and ISA adaptor. For me the win98 comp has to create the network first then my linux computer can join the network, strange. I just edit the /etc/pcmcia/config.opts file to configure the wireless settings. I'm using the wvlan_cs driver and not the Lucent binary driver wavelan_cs. It is nice to see more discussions on wireless stuff.
