Can't login

I can not log in to my recently made accounts on my linux box, please help me!! it says the password is incorrect.

As root, use this command:

passwd username

Then you can enter a new password for the user.

Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.

Still wont work, i keep getting incorrect password when i try and login.

Usernames are case sensitive also. Are you sure you don't have your caps lock on? What about your num lock: does the password have any numbers in it?

Have you tried setting the password to nothing (press enter a few times at the password prompt), and then logging in with no password, to test?
