My printer was turned off in the middle of a print job. Now it just prints a line or two of garbage, spits out that page and prints garbage on a new page. How dow I fix this?

Also how can I cancel a print job while it is printing. In Windows you just open the printer folder and delete the print job. How do I do this in Linux?

Thanks.

From a console, try lpq. This will show the job(s) in the queue. The offending job is removed with lprm and the job number. Note that today's printers often have large memory areas where data is re-spooled. If this occurs, killing the queue will not help you. Flushing the internal printer queue may or may not occur with power cycling. Depends on the particular printers design.
