Anyone manage to get the distributed.net client to connect on a mandrake box? For some reason I always get a message:

Failed to resove name "us.v27.distributed.net" EOENT: No entry for requested name.

I can get packets via email and have them work, and I can get it to connect just fine using either Slackware 7.1 or Debian, (If only they'ed use Mandrake's hardware detection and ReiserFS.. !) So there's got to be something about the way this system is configured that's stopping the connection. Ideas?

I've set up dnetc on many mandrake systems, never had a problem.

Just an observation here, but you did ask if anyone set up the client.

It used to detect my dialup okay, but when I went to DSL via ethernet I had to tell it which connection to monitor. Run dnetc -config and look through the connection options settings for which interface to watch. You can use wild cards like ppp* or eth*. Check the other settings like automatically select a Dnet server. It works fine for me on Drake.
