redhat 7.0 box locks up

my Redhat 7 box has locked up two times since the install, about 2 weeks ago. I can ping it, but the console is a blank screen and you never get a login prompt when i try to telnet to it. have to power cycle, total junk, I thought only windoze systems did this type of crap. I was going to use this server in production, with samba, but the product sux. unreliable.

Description beyond 'red hat 7" would help.

what was running on the box, what was the last thing done on the box, what hardware is in the box, how it is configured, any error messages in the logs?

And if its only locked up twice in two weeks, there is obviously a REASON. most likely a conflict/misconfig/known issue to be resolved here.
