I really would like to get
some use out of this never used S7.0 box I have, but after throwing the DVD
in the other day to try an install, it told me that all three of my HDs were
7.8G??? I have 2 WD40G, and 1 IBM20G - all 3 attached via the
PromiseUltra66 controller card... Is there something I need to hit this
puppy with at boot to make it see these correctly??? Anyone?

TIA

Is that IDE controller card part of your motherboard? If not, I would try them on your motherboard, through the BIOS and see what results you get. How old is the card and the BIOS?

No it isn't. And if I remember correctly, a long time ago, I tried them right on the board and all was fine. But seeing as how both Mandrake and Slack (slack with the ata100.i boot) can see the drives just fine from the get go, I don't understand what the biggee is... I know that the BIOS is up to date (checked a few weeks ago), and the card - not sure. Came with the computer, from Gateway, a little less than 2 years ago - their Performance Setup at the time. All I know is that it's a PromiseUltra66 card, and that Mandrake and Slack install onto it no problem... =\
